I had a pleasant stay at the Banana Resort, which is nestled in a peaceful area and just a short drive from downtown Sadao. The spacious bungalow we booked was perfect for our family, and the service from the owners was outstanding. However, do keep in mind there isn't a restaurant on-site for breakfast, and I noticed some small critters in the rural surroundings, which may not suit everyone.
